What Works on LinkedIn?

Recently, I attended a LinkedIn thought leadership workshop led by Siddarth. It was one of the best sessions during the two-day TCS marketing workshop in Mumbai.

Here are some key takeaways from the Linkedin session:

- Short-form posts: Like a quick espresso, short and informative content is easy to consume and it works. 

- Engage: Don’t just post; engage with content you like. This will help with the mindshare you’ll have for your profile. 

- Publish Videos and Articles: If you’re comfortable on camera, create videos of 20-30 seconds with subtitles. If not, write articles of 800-2000 words. 

- Use Relevant Pictures: Enhance your posts with relevant images.

- Professional yet Social: Don’t make your LinkedIn profile just like your CV. Remember, it’s a professional yet social platform.

- Infuse Personality: Blend your personality with your professional content.

- Define Your Persona: Identify and define your persona on LinkedIn, whether it’s people-focused, industry-focused, or positioning yourself as a thought leader.

- Follow 
#TopVoices: Identify top voices in your industry and get content ideas from them.

- Maintain Network Integrity: Regularly clean up your connections. Avoid randomly adding people. Always remember Quality > Quantity.
